MALISSA BOSSARDET (Bose-ar-DAY) grew up in Rochester, Michigan. After residing in Genesee County for a period, returned to the Detroit area, and now resides in Bloomfield Township in Michigan’s 40th District. She is a graduate of Rochester High School and earned a B.A. degree from Indiana University.
Malissa has 30+ years specializing in veterinary and medical sales and is President of Bossardet Consulting, LLC, a marketing company specializing in veterinary clinics.
PUBLIC OFFICES AND AFFILIATIONS
Continually active in the Republican Party, Malissa served as a precinct delegate in Fenton, Michigan before relocating to Bloomfield Twp. in the 40th District where she was soon elected to the same role.
Malissa has a child in special education and as a result is very knowledgeable in special education law, serving on the board of SEAD (Special Education Advocacy and Development.) She regularly advises on special education policy. She has been selected for the Leadership Oakland XXVIII Cornerstone program and is a graduate of The Arc of Michigan’s Leaders in Policy Advocacy program. Always active in her community, Malissa recently was appointed to the board of Art & Soul Dreams, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting families to children in the Michigan foster care and adoption system. Additional past appointments include the Fenton Beautification Board (mayoral appointee), the Downtown Fenton Streetscape Project, and the Genesee County Humane Society board. There, she also served as public spokesperson.
Malissa is a mom to three busy teenagers and her furry pets too! She is a Master Gardener and enjoys gardening, photography, and, when time permits, performing in local theatrical productions.
Malissa has declared her candidacy for State Representative, serving District 40 which consists of Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, and a section of West Bloomfield.
